Add Game Manually in New Client

A few of you asked us how to add a game manually to the new WTFast client.

We found that most gamers were using our previous client feature to add games we already supported. We also saw that these manual configurations were often making the connection worse. Our goal is to provide the best connection. Always. Even if that means not proxying your traffic through the GPN during a session. We never want to make a connection worse. 

Since the previous client feature to add a game manually often led to making some of your connections worse, we decided to take action. It was time for us to rethink the solution. Instead, we have a new flow that allows you to add games manually. 

Here's what you can do in the new client:

1) Let auto-detect work its magic

The WTFast app automatically detects games installed on your system. We automatically detect over 500 games at the time of writing. The system will automatically add games to your "My Games" list in the new client. You can hit Refresh to ask the app to search for your installed games. 

2) Add game manually

If (for some reason) the system can't find your game, you can add the game manually. Learn more

1. Go to Games > My Games

2. Click the Add game manually button (+)

3. Locate the .exe of your game and link it to one of our supported titles

4. If the Game is a Custom Game, at the moment you are selecting the Config make sure to select the Custom Game Config.

3) Request the game

If your game is unsupported by WTFast, click here to request it. 

You can also request a game from within the new client by clicking Request Game:

Our team can typically add a game within a week. If we cannot support the title, our friendly support team will let you know why we cannot support it. When adding a new game, our team must run complex network tests to make a 'config' for that title. It's not a quick or easy process. We want to make these configs work best for everybody.
